I got tickled by these little creatures when the art department made a stop at
Micheals and got it in my head to make a whirligig bug promenade with them. The windmill is made from a box of old wooden nickels that I had on hand and the bugs are interconnected with wire linkage to make them tippy toe on their path. Donna has this to add the art and I can't wait to see how she completes it.

Here is the next Vollis Simpson whirligig to be repaired and conserved for the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Project in Wilson, NC. This is the
Reflector Box which is a loose designation used in the whirligig shop for the item. Each block will be cataloged for dimension, panel position and location on the whirligig and than have a new block and stainless hardware to complete the installation. There is a base and more whirligig pieces on top and sides of this one. Stay tuned and check this out for now -
